If any one uses any files (deckplans, >maps, or illustrations) for props please let me know. The GMs handbook for Milleniums End v2.0 has some excellent plans of various houses/restauarants/other buildings. The detail on these is excellent and they are good when you just need a basic building plan for an encounter or situation. Thought: Is Milleniums End now a historical game? National Geographic is also a great source for pictures of tropical islands, underwater scenes and other such useful stuff. A bit of work with a scanner and paintshop pro, and hey presto! Props! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. Well my GenCon adventure was inspired by Caught on Tape. So thanks a bunch! (Don't worry, the aboriginies have only a cameo appearance, don't want to give too much away to new players.) By the way everyone, January 14th is the deadline for event submission if you want your game in the pre-reg book for GenCon. Given some of its timeline events, it now joins Twilight: 2000 as an alternate history game. And like the first edition of T2K, a good one at that. >National Geographic is also a great source for pictures of tropical >islands, >underwater scenes and other such useful stuff. A bit of work with a scanner >and paintshop pro, and hey presto! Props! I agree, National Geo is great for finding reference photos for ANY RPG. For Blue Planet, I also found that buying some cheap plastic sea life toys works well. Although my favorite BP props of all time are: 1) The Big Surprise In The Box in Jeff Barber's "Deep Sh*t" con scenario. If you never played it, you've missed one of the best uses of props I've ever seen. 2) A heavily doctored dolphin bean bag toy. A roll of duct tape and some bent paper clips turned this guy into the most terrifying cybered-up mad cetacean mastermind on Poseidon: Human the Dolphin, whose goal was to surgically turn himself into a human, one piece at a time. And my Columbus, OH gaming group actually fell for it, hook, line and sinker. 3) A printout of the deck plans for the Last Chance from the Red Sky Charters section of the Biohazard site. This prop helped to provide my Malaysian gaming group with one of the most intense (and funny) tactical situations I've ever seen in a Blue Planet game (see my game report on Dave Klegman's League of Professional Casualties site).
