The Sunwater The Sunwater is a large (1 - 2 meters in diameter) plant that resembles a very large Sunflower. The bright yellow flower is often found floating in the middle of the ocean in tropical zones, its massive roots drawing nurishment from the water. Like the sunflower, the sunwater produces its "seeds" in the middle of the flower. Each "seed" is roughly the size of a walnut and is made of two parts, the pulp and the core. The pulp is actually the planets pollen. It is a stable of many bird analogs' diets and through the digestive process, they spread the pollen around. The pulp is also a mild neurotoxin that causes a variety of responses in humans though the most common response is to see a series of bright flashes for several minutes. Lately, dried pulp power has formed the basis of a shot known as a Sunburst (a name tha confuses the heck out of many Newcomers). Most bartenders will only serve one to a customer as no one is quite sure how many a person can safely consume. The core is the actual seed of the Sunwater. It floats and when dried out it turns bright blue. It is often used in Native crafts such as necklaces. (If dropped overboard or lost during a dive, it will float to the surface).
