As always, price would vary depending on where you were and what you were
using to pay.

well, basing it on US$, I'd say it woudl be:
$2-$5 for a beer, depending on what you want (I don't know, I don't drink)
$20 for a cheap hotel for a night
$15-$25 for a meal in a reasonable restaurant
