I would have to say to wing it based on the supply and demand for a good or service. For example, toothpaste is difficult to aquire if you don't work for an Incorp as most of the construction has been focused on heavy industry and not consumer goods. A poor hotel might run 20 script a night in Haven, but 100 script a night in small Hybrid community if it is the only hotel in town. Then there is the Script market. A hotel might charge 50 GEO script or 80 Hanover script and doesn't accept Gendiver script. So, I simply make it up as I go along and prices change all the time as the economic conditions fluctuate. Doing this does require players who won't try to take advantage of the system though. > *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. I posted a character on Stormsurge(Tom Dominguez, NPC section), but I wasn't certain that he was GEO-friendly enough, so I asked here, but didn't get a reply. Just curious if anything's going to happen with the PBeM idea. Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: David R. Send character ideas, proposals, write-ups, corp scrip, etc to me so I can see what people are thinking of. Also any requests for theme, setting, feel etc. Is there an aspect of BP you want to delve into further or are heartily sick of? I can't guarantee that all suggestions will be used, but I will at least read them. They are helpful indeed. I needed those prices to have anything to base on when improvising. Constantly changing scrip values help also and they spice up this exotic feeling of Poseidon. I used to overlook money problems in other RPGs especially WOD but in the world of survival its better to carefully control resources' level of PCs. Ah I have another question. We observe a drastic change of human height in the recent decades. How tall/heavy are people in 2199? Also I might be wrong but I think that in Future History part the distance from Kingston to Haven is more then 5000 kilometers while on the maps its different. Which is correct? Thanks. Another good book for naval warfare (but not neccesarily submarine) is 'Choosers of the Slain' by James H. Cobb.
