If somebody was actually determined to design and build a practical android in BP, and wanted it to be as human-like as possible, it would be most effective to manufacture an artificial person, al la Blade Runner. The brain could be an implanted computer of some sort. The "replicant" would not neccessarily behave in an exactly human way, but the effect could be very close. Anyway, the idea of an experimental AP or some such struck me as a neat story element around which a scenario, or even a whole campaign, could be constructed.
