Your memory serves pretty well, but in actuality, Alaska is almost as big as all of Europe, the UK included (but maybe dropping off a few Eastern European countries). When Alaska was petitioning for statehood in the 1950s, there was an objection from Texas (then the biggest state by a wide margin); I believe the dispute was dealing with the relatively high area per capita (thus skewing the number of representatives Alaska would be allowed to Texas' disfavor). The representive from Alaska addressed the issue to the Texan representative thusly: "If it bothers you that Texas will only be the second largest state, we could divide Alaska into three portions. Then Texas would be the FOURTH largest state." BTW, anyone on the list from the Triangle area of North Carolina? -Alan *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. The world was a mostly water world and included a mysterious race of underwater indiginent (sp?) creatures. That was set from the begining and certainly not borrowed from BP. Now, they have recently taken the detail of this planet to a greater level with the new supplement. So it's possible that you're right; that the supplement was in response to the succes of BP. But I doubt it. Adam __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Using our existing Law Enforcement Pistol (LEP) as a baseline, we produced a first generation Radio Frequency Controlled (RF) handgun. When energized, the gun emits a radio signal. A small transponder worn by the person authorized to use the gun receives this signal and returns a coded radio signal. When the gun hears that signal within a small region behind the gun, a blocking pin is removed from the trigger mechanism, enabling the gun to fire normally ============= Jim *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. I was just trying to say that BP did it much better, and the interesting aspects of the Alternity product just happen to be those elements that are similar to BP. That's probably because I really like the BP setting. :-) I was not aware that the Aegis setting was already in developement before BP hit the market, but the similarities are, um, similar... Perhaps Aegis was a tad influenced by the acclaim the BP setting received? - Fixer *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.imagiconline.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. Unless Jeff shared his ideas with David Eckleberry (Stardrive) and i doubt that. The Stardrive setting details dozens and dozens of planets. They were bound to make at least one of them a "waterworld". Adam __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Feel free to mail me if you want specifics, but there really isn't much too it. The planet Aegis is similar to Poseidon in the same way I am similiar to Mark MacGuire, we're both about 220 lbs. But there is a distinct difference between his 220 and my 220. Adam __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
