Actually - it was 80 years of isolation, and (given the "communal child-raising" method the natives use), it probably *was* only effectively 2 generations. The people who would be looking after and teaching you would be a mixture of ages, but mostly it would probably be the ones who couldn't go out fishing/hunting/etc. - in other words, the eldest! Also - LJ wasn't discovered until '87, well after recontact.
