I'm sure someone else on the list might know. When military pilots fire weapons from hardpoints, I've heard (lots of places) the firing announced with "Fox" and then a number. Fox I'm guessing is short for "firing", but what's the number mean? I'll ask him, but I was under the impression that the number was the location of the missile. Another friend who's into sims(Jane's ATF and such) says that it depends on the actual mounting of the missile, 1 being wingtip, 2 being under-wing, and 3 being belly or bay mounted. The pilots would know missile type by the standard loadout of the fighter. - Ghost *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. I don't know of similar codes for other weapon types. The incoming weapon codes are fun.
