They make for excellent aquatic farmhands, search-and-rescue specialists, and hydroshot players, but their intelligence is still extremely limited. Think about it: they're even dumber than the dumbest human. ;-) Greg Benage Biohazard Games www.biohazardgames.com *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. We didn't ever put together very much on sea lions in BP. I don't think there was much of a reason behind this. There were a number of stats posted to the list a while ago regarding the typical sea lion, and my impression was that they were fairly well received. We've play-tested sea lion characters once or twice. During the early stages of development for BP, we ran a number of games at conventions that we used for testing out different ideas. Brigit and Angus were sea lions attached to a GEO super trooper team in the Recon/Scout role, but they were always NPC's. I'm sure it could be done, but playing a character with a low-average scale 4 intelligence would be quite a challenge. Not sure that was the answer you were looking for, but that's what I remember...Unfortunately, Jeff's out of town (I'll let him tell you all where), so you'll have to wait for the official answer. -Jason Werner Biohazard Games ------------------------------------------------ I lacked the courage to investigate the weaknesses of the wicked, because I discovered they are the same as the weaknesses of the saintly. - Wm. of Baskerville -------------------------------------------------- *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. Several references are made to sea lions in BP as if they were an uplifted species, just like dolphins and Orcas (for instance in the article on hydroshot in Undercurrents). However, I have failed to find anything more substantial on uplifted sea lions. What is the official view on things, were sea lions lifted out late in the production or are they just very rare and therefor not very supported. /Jens *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. Nothing wrong with that, just no Grav tech involved. But Im sure its within BP's tech level... IMHO the Room Temprature Superconductors in BP would make building a rail gun or coil gun a lot easier. But as you say they would probabily be rare.
