Hi all, This question may have been asked before, but I was wondering if BH/FFG have ever considered doing a line of miniatures to support the BP game? I'm not referring to skirmish-type mass combat gaming in the BP setting, but rather just some character/NPC miniatures to use with the setting. It would be nice to see some miniatures, especially vehicles, but our group wouldn't get much use out of them during a game, they would just stand there and look really cool. The combat rules are so lethal that setting up the figures would take longer than the gun fight. And it would be impossible to use them in most scenarios because the gun fights take place in detailed settings, as opposed to a cave with a large rock and pool of water. For now, our VTOL is still Jim's eraser. The combat rules are so lethal that setting up the figures would take longer than the gun fight. And it ** I have miniatures yet to paint for games past. And sometimes I'll grab a miniature just because it looks cool. With regards to painting, it might also be in part due to the fact that I have neither the knowledge nor the tools for painting lead-free pewter miniatures ;) Nor the skill. It's a good thing I'm not a surgeon in real life.... ;) **** would be impossible to use them in most scenarios because the gun fights take place in detailed settings, as opposed to a cave with a large rock and pool of water. ** True. But that's what imagination is for! And whiteboards. Once I started playing RPGs, I decided to bring my mid-sized whiteboard along, and it's come in handy, particularly when the giant and his small army were coming to raid a town, and we were setting up our positions and lookouts etc. Good stuff. **** For now, our VTOL is still Jim's eraser. ** So far in our two BP sessions, models and layout haven't been all that important. We've been in a situation which might warrant such once so far, but thank the maker for headshots. ;) -C -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mail2Web - Check your email from the web at http://www.mail2web.com/ . *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message.
