There has been some talk about developing logos for each of the Incorporate and putting them in UC or something. I do have a few that I use (descriptivly at this point) in games - unfortunately GenDiver is not one of them. If you come up with a good one let us know and maybe we will use it. Okay. But isn't that kind of...risky? Okay, I just spent about ten minutes with Photoshop effects and a picture of DNA to make a Gendiver logo. Hopefully, it'll work for you. I've got it up at: http://members.home.net/wilkewills/blueplanet/dna71.gif If people like it and could use ones for other corporations, I suppose I could do them. > Thanks, > > Jeff Barber -Andy *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. The choice of fonts doesn't grab me and the DNA helix is a bit dull-looking, for some reason I can't figure out. GenDiver probably doesn't pay its advertising staff enough anyway. Now what would the Hanoverians use for a logo? Hmmm. Kai Poh, Malaysian Lagomorph _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Some other ideas: Anasi Systems: A yellow fleurs-de-lis encircled by a red crescent moon. Atlas Materials: Um, well, a globe mounted on the back of a straining Titan. Biogene: A stylized DNA molecule drawn to resemble an hourglass. Dundalk: A gold Celtic knot pattern on a green circle. GenDiver: A black silhouette of a DNA molecule in a white circle on a red field*. Hydrospan: A quicksilver dolphin arcing over a golden sunburst**. Lavender Org.: A luminous green wireframe of DaVinci's "Study of Proportions." MacLeod: A claymore encircled by the company name in Gaelic letters. NIS: A radiating crimson sun, naturally. *- Or is this too obvious? ** - The heraldic device, not the animal. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. The helix looks dull because the shading isn't right for a helix...its just a gradient I use for metallic lettering. I think the font is okay, but it goes over one part of the helix, which detracts from the 3D effect. As I said, just a quick attempt...I still like the overall helix part, though. In any case, it should serve its intended purpose as something to stick on a convention handout. -Andy *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@mpgn.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. For the record, this was the first _multi-planetary_ system discovered. Scientists have found other solar systems previous to this, but only identified one planet. It is also worth mentioning that a story covering this on NPR quoted a researcher who said that our tools for doing this are still pretty limited. If "people" on a planet in the Upsilon Andromedae system used the same tools to view our solar system "they would only notice the existence of Jupiter".
