Given that ships stop for refuleing I would think every vessel would be Inspected. However Inspected is very very different from 'searched from keel to bridge'. Mostly what would happen is the mass of the ship would be determined (push it a bit, F=M*A) and compared to its manifest. Maybe a few spot checks to see if whats MEANT to be in the various holds/containers really is. Unpacking and searching every hold/container isnt feasable for 20thC Customs on wet ships. Given the hassels of Space its going to be even harder. Serious searching is going to be left for when Intel picks out a smuggler or when Customers get 'a feeling' about a ship or crew. In your face 'search everything' is going to happen in Orbit at either end or Dirt/Water Side. > RE: 'course, the would-be smugglers COULD always rush the Wormhole and put > some sort of jamming signal up to prevent the GEO ships from signaling to > the other side long enough for them to get through and get clear... How do you tell a smuggler from a terrorist trying to nuke your station? You cant! I'd have though serious Bribery would work better! It is currently in testing and will be done by the end of June. One of the things that I want to do is have an option to output characters in a "NPC format" so that GM can easily create a variety of stock NPCs for their games. So the questions are : What information should be on an NPC sheet? And what should the format be like? Mind you that equipment, other than biomods, will have to be added in by hand (until version 2.0 of the program) but space can be left for it. As an added bonus, I plan to create a large database of stock NPCs with the program and place them online for all to use and abuse. Thanks, Mike Z *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. So you won't have to squirm long...
