The article said that hydrogen absorbing bacteria were being used. Is this correct? Isn't the bends primarily associated with dissolved nitrogen in the bloodstream. My medical knowledge is not vast, so if anyone out there can set me straight, please do so. Here is a mod which I originally put on Dave Klegmans Intersystem League of Professional Casualties website. AVATAR CONSOLIDATED HAEMOGUARD CLOTTING SYSTEM Most battlefield deaths are caused by shock and blood loss, this fact is well known. Therefore, bioengineers at Avatar Consolidated (UC#4) have come up with a biomod to counter at least one part of this problem. By implanting glands which store fibrin and fibrinogen (the major clotting agents produced by the body in times of trauma) into the body, and coding them to react to drastic drops in blood pressure and increased levels of histamine, the speed of clotting at a wound site can be drastically improved. Users of this biomod gain a +3 level bonus to their Trauma rolls where blood loss is involved and the time needed for a user to bleed to death is tripled. Healing Time: 1 week. Cost: 12,000cs.
