The hope of this project is that people will put things under the entries they expect to find. For example, I've put an entry for 'Experience', pointing at the Character Development page. Blue Planet doesn't call it experience. Lots of other games do. I always think of it as experience. So if I was trying to find it in an index, I'd probably look under 'Experience'. I've also put an entry under ChIPs, because that term is far from self-explanatory, and someone might come across a reference and wonder what the hell they are. Bear in mind that if there are two entries for one subject, and each contains only half of the references, you can score lots of points by adding the missing references to each entry. And doing it that was *is* better than rationalising, IMO. Yes, but Mike is still working out how to implement cross-references. How about creating a new supplement called 'See', and then just entering cross references as indirect references to no particular page in that? Having read the 1st 2 episodes, I can say this is a web series by a pretty gifted pair of artist/screenwriters. By web series they mean it's like a TV series that just hasn't been picked up by a studio yet. Apart from the excellent graphics, some of the setting is a bit weak - e.g. the Ming like Emperor of the Pacific, and I must say they lost me the moment the words 'cold fusion' were used. But for a two-person effort it's better than many studios output. Andrew ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? There is the usual adventure (which I have not read yet), a long and remarkably accurate wilderness survival section, a section on Posiedon's ecosystems and taxonomy of indigenous life forms, and far fewer new creatures than I expected. At a glance I would say that this is the best BP supplement so far. The information on survival and the Poseidon biosphere should be useful to Moderators in almost campaign. I also have found hints and inspirational nuggets through out the text. This book does a lot to help make Posiedon an alien world. I do have a gripe. I would have liked to see more descriptions of ordinary Posiedon life forms, trees, grasses, insects, birds etc, not the ones that are liekly to have significant game effects, just the ones that add colour. For those of you who have not yet bought this book it is not a "Monster Manual" for Blue Planet. If you buy it for that you will likely be dissappointed. If you want to gain further insight into how Posiedon functions as a biosphere, and what happens to characters when they get into the wilds, you will probably find it useful. I will post a more complete review after I finish reading it. One question: What are those "things" in the cover painting? There are at least two of them if you look closely. I think this is my favorite v2 cover so far as well. --dave *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message.
