Unfortunately, for starters, no one's really told me when/where it is, despite my post for info ;) A friend said Wisconsin - right? I don't recall where in Wisconsin. But I would likely be unable to make that anyways. Were I closer, I'd like to. Maybe spend a little time in Columbia harassing you and Jim ;) Funny thing: About two years ago, I set out from upstate NY to Houston, by way of Missouri (I knew a couple people there). Ended up spending a month in Columbia, then spent 7mos in Houston. Funny that it should be a year and a half later that I find out about half of Biohazard lives in Columbia and the other half in Houston ;) Or is it closer to 80% in Columbia and 20% in Houston? Well, whatever. Wish I'd known then what I know now ;) --Charles Original Message: ----------------- From: BIOHZD@aol.com Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 23:25:21 EDT To: blue_planet@lists.ient.com Subject: [BLUE PLANET] - More GenCon Plans... Hey All, Well, response to our list dinner invite has been light. Since there is little time left to plan, I will make an executive decision and say that if you are interested in coming to the dinner, we will be meeting at the Fantasy Flight booth (wherein lies Blue Planet) just before the dealer room closes on Saturday (6pm if the schedule holds true to past form). We can do the old standby and eat at Toy's Chinese Buffet, but that is getting a bit old. I would suggest the cool brew pub down the street - though its a bit pricey its always good. Then again there is always Giordanos deep dish...mmmmm. Maybe we could even commandeer a space some place in the hall and send some operatives to pick up some Giordanos and bring it back so we can get right to gamin'. On an entirely different note, as I was sitting here writing a cool little idea came to me. Please forgive if this seems self-indulgent but I am just thinking out loud. I was wondering if any of the list members coming to GenCon might be interested in running an original BP game for the boys (and girl) of Biohazard. Ya see, we have never had the chance to all *play* BP together as players. Living so far apart I can count the number of times Greg and I have played anything/way together on one unmodified hand. I bet Greg, Jim and Cat would go for it, and we could round out the rest of the cast with list members. Anyone game? Later all, Jeff Barber Biohazard Games *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mail2Web - Check your email from the web at http://www.mail2web.com/ . *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe from this list send mail to majordomo@lists.ient.com with the line 'unsubscribe blue_planet' as the body of the message. Checking my schedule of what games I am running, It actually looks like I will be available for the dinner and game. I can't be certain, but I will try to be there. Held in Milwaukee Wisconsin (maybe moving soon) Aug 2-5. GenCon is the biggest Gaming convention in the US and I beleive 2nd biggest in the world (?). As a note, it is my understanding that the hotels for GenCon book up like 6 months in advance, so if you plan on going next year, make reservations early. (Lack of enough hotels is one of the reasons the con may be moving) ===== Troy Gustavel 5825 Bolender Rd.
