As everyone is gawking over the book, offer to start running a campaign. That is how I managed to get a BP campaign going after 2 years of trying. Once I got it going, word of mouth kept bringing in new players. If you mean "how do I get people to say they'll play in the first place?" that's just a case of selling it. bear in ind that what you say the game is going to be about doesn't have to the same for every player, or indeed the truth. Other than that finding a couple of people that others will want to play with can be really helpful. Giving them something of a design brief so they can come up with an idea for a character If you mean "how do I get them to actually agree on a session?" then there are all manner of enticements, few of which relate to the game. Agree to have the session at someone's house where people like being. Or at the least reliable player's house (so they can't forget). Arranging some form of food also helps. Giving them something of a design brief so they can come up with an idea for a character before hand, and maybe even talk amongst themselves. I've no idea whether any of this helps any. --- Shanhat "I'm too young to marry Too old to mess about Let me be your carry out At closing time."
